Alpha Seven Aviation (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects and values your right to privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information in line with POPIA, which regulates the processing of personal information by public and private bodies in South Africa. prospective and current trainee pilots, students, and visitors;

It applies to all data processing activities we carry out in connection with our flight-training business at Margate Airport, KwaZulu-Natal.
3. What is Personal Information?
Under POPIA, “personal information” means any information relating to an identifiable, living natural person or where applicable, an identifiable juristic person. 4. Our Responsibilities & Your Rights

5. How We Collect Personal Information
We collect personal information in a variety of ways, including:

when you enquire about our training programmes or visit our facilities;

when you register as a trainee pilot or student and submit forms, identity documents, medical certificates, logbooks or other training records;

when you apply for employment or service-provider engagement;

via our website, email communications, social media or other digital channels;

when you provide feedback, attend events or communicate with us for other purposes.
6. Purposes for Processing
We process personal information only for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes, including:

to assess, register, train and manage trainee pilots and students;

to comply with aviation-training regulatory requirements and the requirements of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA);

to provide you with information about our courses, promotions, events or updates (where you have consented);

to manage employment, contractors, service-provider relationships;

to manage our business operations (billing, accounting, internal records, audits, safety and compliance obligations);

to ensure security of our facilities and equipment;

We rely on one or more lawful bases for processing your personal information, including:

If you do not provide the personal information requested, we may not be able to enrol you on a course, deliver training or provide services to you.
8. Processing Limitation, Retention & Disposal
We process personal information only if it is necessary for the purposes described above, and we endeavour to ensure it is accurate, complete and up-to-date. Once no longer required, we securely dispose of or anonymise the information.
9. Disclosure and Transfers
We may disclose your personal information to:

regulatory, aviation-safety or government authorities (e.g., SACAA) as required by law or regulation;
